The 2002 Swap & Show 2019
The Bay Area’s favorite classic BMW gathering has come and gone once again. The Brisbane-centered 2002 Swap & Show brought out the usual waves of enthusiasts, some coming from as far as Washington.
We saw many familiar faces and cars, along with a few new ones. From a small selection of E9s to a Police tribute 2002, there was no shortage of interesting cars to see. The estimated turnout was something around 150 registered vehicles, and we’re excited to be able to share our photo coverage here.
Did you attend the show this year? If so, did you have any favorites?
The usual waterside location in Brisbane provides a beautiful backdrop for the event.

Whatever flavor of 02 you prefer, you’re guaranteed to find it at this show.
Max (@coastalcrush) brought out his 02s, Crusty and Vera. Justin Estes (@colorfreak_art) painted custom portraits of each car to display.
One of the few E9s that showed up this year. We kind of love the idea of the car seat in the back seat. Start them young!
Riley of The Paddock made the trek all the way from SoCal to display some of his goods, including his small batch shift knobs.
Kooglewerks had their own set up, as they do each year, with all of their latest and most popular products on display.
A complete, Kooglewerks center console set up, complete with cupholders.
We took a moment toward the end of the day for a mini shoot with the Polizei car and its corresponding officers. How could you not want to hang out with these guys? They were fantastic!
The 02 is equipped with a PA system, period siren + light, and Polizei vinyl livery.
Stan was a real joy to speak with. His unique project and warm, positive personality reinforces why this community is so wonderful.
